The Senior Graphic Designer is responsible for bringing the Calyx Containers brand to life across digital, print, event, and sales channels. This role will lead the design and execution of creative assets that support marketing campaigns, product launches, trade shows, sales enablement, website content, social media, email marketing, and broader brand-building initiatives. Working closely with the Senior Marketing Manager and cross-functional teams, this person will translate ideas into polished, high-impact creative that is visually compelling, strategically aligned, and production-ready.

The ideal candidate is a highly skilled visual designer with strong creative judgment, excellent attention to detail, and the ability to move seamlessly from concept through final production. This person should be comfortable taking a brief, asking the right questions, and building thoughtful creative that solves business problems while maintaining a high bar for design quality. They should thrive in a collaborative, fast-moving environment, be confident managing multiple projects at once, and bring both hands-on execution and strong organizational discipline to the role. Experience working within established brand guidelines while also helping evolve and strengthen a brand over time is essential.

Primary Responsibilities

Creative and Design Execution:

  • Conceptualize and produce high-quality creative assets across digital and print channels
  • Design sales collateral, product sheets, brochures, presentations, social graphics, email assets, website graphics, digital ads, and trade show materials
  • Create polished, on-brand visuals that support both marketing campaigns and day-to-day commercial needs
  • Bring a strong point of view on layout, typography, hierarchy, and visual storytelling

Campaign and Marketing Support:

  • Partner with marketing and sales teams to translate campaign ideas into cohesive visual systems and supporting assets
  • Contribute to the visual direction of launches, promotions, events, and content initiatives
  • Help ensure campaign assets are aligned across channels and delivered on time
  • Support the execution of integrated marketing efforts through strong design consistency and creative problem-solving

Brand Stewardship:

  • Maintain and strengthen consistency across all Calyx Containers brand touchpoints
  • Apply brand standards thoughtfully across a wide range of formats while helping evolve the visual brand where appropriate
  • Build and refine templates, systems, and design standards that improve quality, efficiency, and consistency
  • Help elevate the overall creative output of the marketing function

Production and Asset Management:

  • Prepare print-ready files for marketing collateral, event graphics, packaging-related materials, and other branded assets
  • Coordinate with printers, vendors, and external partners to ensure files are accurate and deliverables meet production requirements
  • Maintain organized design files, asset libraries, templates, and creative archives
  • Support version control and ensure teams are working from the most current approved materials

Cross-Functional Support:

  • Work closely with marketing, sales, product, and leadership teams to understand priorities and deliver creative that supports business objectives
  • Assist in building strong visual support for customer presentations, sample kits, internal initiatives, and strategic projects
  • Balance multiple deadlines and projects while maintaining a high level of responsiveness and quality
     

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of graphic design experience in an in-house, agency, or brand environment
  • Strong portfolio demonstrating excellence in marketing design, brand systems, print, and digital creative
  • Advanced proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, including InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop
  • Experience designing for both print and digital marketing channels
  • Strong typography, layout, and visual storytelling skills
  • Experience developing sales collateral, presentations, and customer-facing materials
  • Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to collaborate effectively across teams
  • High attention to detail and commitment to producing polished, accurate work
  • Ability to work in person in Salt Lake City, UT

Preferred:

  • Experience with motion graphics, video editing, or light animation work
  • Experience designing for trade shows, large-format graphics, and event environments
  • Familiarity with website design assets, email marketing design, and social content formats
  • Experience working with packaging, manufacturing, CPG, cannabis, or other highly regulated industries
  • Familiarity with Figma, Canva, HubSpot, or related creative and marketing tools is a plus
