Position Overview
We are seeking a visionary Vice President of Operations to lead and optimize our manufacturing, warehouse, sourcing, customer success, pre-press and print operations. This executive role is pivotal in driving operational excellence, strategic growth, and innovation within the company. The ideal candidate will have a robust background in the print and packaging industry, exceptional leadership skills, and a proven track record of managing complex operations. Key Responsibilities
Strategic Leadership
- Develop and implement forward-thinking operational strategies aligned with our ambitious company goals.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity, efficiency, and quality across all operational facets.
- Collaborate with executive leadership to set and achieve performance targets and growth objectives.
Operational Management
- Oversee daily operations of the manufacturing facility and warehouse to ensure seamless functionality.
- Ensure compliance with industry standards, safety regulations, and quality control measures.
- Manage supply chain activities, including procurement, inventory management, logistics, and material purchasing.
- Develop sourcing strategies and cultivate strong relationships with third-party vendors and suppliers.
- Supervise the pre-press and Customer Success team to guarantee timely and accurate preparation of printing materials and customer communications.
Team Development
- Lead and mentor a high-performing operations team encompassing manufacturing, sourcing, logistics, and pre-press.
- Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous learning and improvement.
- Implement training programs to elevate team skills and professional growth.
Financial Oversight
- Develop and manage operational budgets, ensuring optimal and cost-effective resource utilization.
- Analyze financial data to identify opportunities for operational improvements and cost savings.
- Report on operational performance metrics to stakeholders and recommend strategic adjustments.
Stakeholder Engagement
- Build and maintain strong relationships with clients, suppliers, and strategic partners.
- Proactively address operational issues to uphold and enhance client satisfaction.
- Optimize production team workforce and output to meet evolving business needs.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Engineering, Operations Management, or a related field; MBA or advanced degree preferred.
- Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in operations management within the print and packaging industry (required), with at least 5 years in a senior leadership role.
- Proven track record of leading large teams and managing complex, multifaceted operations.
- In-depth understanding of manufacturing processes, supply chain management, sourcing, logistics, material purchasing, and quality assurance.
- Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to inspire and influence at all levels.
- Proficient in ERP systems and operational software tools; experience with system implementations is a plus.
- Strategic thinker with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to balance strategic vision with tactical execution to drive results.
