Location: Salt Lake City, UT
Reports to: President
Team: Senior Graphic Designer + Marketing Coordinator (in seat); and the team you'll build from there
Calyx Containers is looking for a Director of Marketing to lead our marketing function and the team that powers it. This is a builder-leader role: you'll own strategy, execution, and performance across brand, product marketing, demand generation, content, events, PR, and marketing operations - and you'll own the number. Your mission is to lead Calyx's next chapter: the transformation from a cannabis rigid-packaging vendor into the fastest, smartest way to quote, approve, and order labels and flexible packaging - for any brand - and to build the demand engine and the team that turn that story into qualified pipeline, sales velocity, and category leadership.
Our co-founders first started this as a packaging design company (well, really started as a stuffed-animal bong-bag company…) and moved to Utah to build one of the most advanced digital printing and flexible-packaging innovation centers in the country. We launched a cultivation technology called Calyx Cure that's already taking the industry by storm, and we're standing up Calyx Command - instant quoting and packaging procurement software built on a decade of hard-won operational know-how. We've strategically flown under the radar for ten years while we built the capability. Now we're ready to change how packaging gets purchased - and we need a leader to tell that story, build the team, and put real numbers behind it.
You won't be starting from zero. You'll inherit a strong foundation: a talented Senior Graphic Designer and a sharp Marketing Coordinator already on the team; and you'll shape, grow, and lead the function from there.
This position is required to be in-person at the Calyx Spaceship (our manufacturing facility & HQ) in Salt Lake City, UT.
